SD DOH: 103 new COVID-19 cases statewide, two new Pennington County deaths

PIERRE, S.D. — Saturday’s numbers from the South Dakota Department of Health show a total of 8,867 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in South Dakota, up 103 from Friday.

Additionally, there are four deaths including two in Pennington County, bringing the statewide total to 134.

Across the state, there are 913 active cases. That is an additional 40 cases from Friday’s number of 873 active cases. 59 people have recovered from the coronavirus, bringing the statewide total number of recovered to 7,820.

A total of 36 people are currently hospitalized in the state. 832 people have ever been hospitalized due to COVID-19.
