SD DOH: 10 total new COVID-19 cases statewide, five West River

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — On Wednesday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 10 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 109,077.

No cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 2,026.

Five confirmed cases were reported West River: four in Pennington County and one in Todd County.

No new probable cases were reported West River.

In South Dakota, 170 cases are considered active, that number is down from 186 on Tuesday.

An additional 21 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 122,186.

28 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 6,925 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
