SBA revises Paycheck Protection Program to help gaming operators

DEADWOOD, S.D. — Deadwood casino operators have been concerned that they would not be included in the Small Business Administration’s “CARES ACT”,  so they could help their workers while closed.

Late this week, local gaming operators got some good news.

The Small Business Administration (S.B.A.) has revised its guidelines for the Paycheck Protection Program, and it includes the gaming operators in Deadwood and their staffs.

This program will allow the employees to be put back on the payroll, and help ease their financial burden.

The Deadwood Gaming Association is working with Mayor David Ruth to develop a safe, and phased, business re-opening plan to present to the city commission.
