Saturday Sports Roundup: Lady Hardrockers fall in final non-conference game
RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Mines women’s basketball team wrapped up non-conference play on Saturday afternoon by hosting the University of Sioux Falls.
The Cougars jumped out to an 18-point lead in the second quarter.
But the Lady Hardrockers cut the deficit to 10 in the fourth quarter.
However, the University of Sioux Falls would hold on for the win, 70-57.
Ryan Weiss led South Dakota Mines with 19 points followed by Anna Combalia and Naomi Hidalgo each with 8 points.
The Hardrockers fall to 0-6 on the season.
South Dakota Mines opens conference play on Dec. 2 in Golden, CO against the Colorado School of Mines
