Men's Basketball: Hardrockers start the season with back-to-back victories

RAPID CITY, S.D. –  The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology men’s basketball team started the season with a little uncertainty.

Just a few weeks before the first game, long-time head coach Jason Henry decided to part ways with the school, leaving Eric Glenn to take over the program.

But the Hardrockers tipped off the season Friday night with an impressive win over Texas A&M Kingsville in overtime.

The Rockers returned to action on Saturday and defeated Texas A&M International, 68-42.

Troy Brady led South Dakota Mines with 11 points followed by Jake Heath and Allec Williams with 9 points each.

The Hardrockers will look to stay undefeated as they compete in the East vs. West Challenge in Sioux Falls. South Dakota Mines will play Augustana University on Friday, Nov. 16, followed by Northern State University on Saturday.
