Saturday Football Roundup: Adams State too much for Black Hills State

SD Mines picks up first win of the year with a victory over Simon Fraser

SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University football team hosted Adams State University on Saturday afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets lost to the Grizzlies a year ago by three points.

However, the Jackets entered the game having won two of the last three meetings.

Unfortunately, the Grizzlies put on an offensive clinic on Saturday and defeated Black Hills State 45-31.

The Yellow Jackets did make some nice plays defensively.

Keyshawn Farmer returned an interception 35 yards for a touchdown. Plus, Bailey Rosenstrauch sacked Grizzlies’ quarterback John Buksa in the end zone for a safey.

Tyler Hammons threw for 210 yards and two touchdowns to lead Black Hills State.

The Yellow Jackets (0-3) will host Fort Lewis College on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 1 p.m. for Swarm Days.
