Saturday Football: Hot Springs holds on to beat RC Christian

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Week five of the high school football season continued on Saturday as Rapid City Christian hosted the Hot Springs Bison.

The Comets defeated Hill City earlier this month to pick up their first win of the season.

But the Comets couldn’t make it two in a row.

Thanks to a great defensive effort, the Bison shut out the Comets, 13-0.

Landon Iverson had an 11-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to give Hot Springs the early lead.

The scored stayed that way until the fourth quarter when the Bison tacked on six more.

The Comets found the end zone in the second quarter.

But a penalty erased the 19-yard touchdown run by Sam Fischer.

Hot Springs improves to 4-1 on the season while Rapid City Christian falls to 1-3.
