Sasquatch set record for most runs scored with 26-9 win over Casper

SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Spearfish Sasquatch set a new team record Thursday for runs scored in a game, defeating the Casper Horseheads, 26-9.

The game actually started on Wednesday but was suspended in the fifth inning due to lightning.

The two teams then finished the game on Thursday.

The Sasquatch were led by Theo Hardy who was 3-for 6 at the plate and finished with 7 RBIs.

Hardy also had a grand slam in the 8th inning.

Charles McAdoo also went 6-for-6 at the plate and finished with five RBIs.

Riley Moran was the winning pitcher for Spearfish.

He surrendered six runs on six hits over five innings, striking out two.

The Sasquatch lost the second game of the doubleheader, 4 to 3 in seven innings.

Spearfish is now 3-4 in the second half of the season and 24-13 overall.

The Sasquatch open a three-game series at home against the Canyon County Spuds starting on Friday, July 9.
