Santa delivers gifts to NICU and Pediatrics Unit

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Fourteen children and infants at Regional Health Rapid City Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatrics Unit were given gifts by Santa on December 17.

The gifts Santa delivered were made possible by donations to Regional Health’s Children’s Miracle Network program. Nursing staff asked each child what they wanted for Christmas, and Santa was able to deliver stuffed animals, clothes, dolls and crafts that were chosen for each child.

The Regional Health Foundation partners with the Rushmore Mall to provide Santa to the children in the Rapid City hospital. Santa has been visiting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatrics Unit for 10 years, delivering gifts during the holiday season. When Santa is not around to deliver gifts, toys are made available to children all year long through the Children’s Miracle Network program.
