Santa Claus visits the YFS Child Development Center

RAPID CITY, S.D. -As per Christmas tradition, Mr. and Mrs. Claus took a trip to the YFS Child Development Center.

Each year all the kids stand outside the center waiting for Santa to come riding in a truck and bearing gifts for each child. For years this has been a tradition thanks to YFS and the airmen at Ellsworth Air Force Base.

Each year two airmen dress and the Claus’ and a few airmen dress as elves. The rest are in uniform, helping Santa hand out toys.

Santa goes into the center and visits every classroom. He calls each child by their name, gives a gift, and offers to take a picture with them.

Each year it brings joy to the children and assures that each child has a gift to unwrap for the holidays.
