Sabres come from behind to beat the Butte Cobras

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Badlands Sabres snapped a four-game losing streak on Friday with a 4-2 win over the Butte Cobras.

The Cobras opened the scoring early in the first period with a goal by Nick Bradshaw.

But the Sabres answered in a big way in the second period.

The Sabres found the back of the net three times with goals from Zach Vockler, Hunter Fischbach and Derrick Brown.

Cole Sykes added a goal in the third to secure the win for the Sabres.

Maxim Currie had 43 saves for the Badlands.

Vockler now leads the Badlands Sabres with five goals and 11 assists for 16 points in 12 games.

The Badlands Sabres will host the Butte Cobras again on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Roosevelt Park Ice Arena.
