Ravnsborg pleaded no contest to a pair of misdemeanor charges in relation to a vehicle accident that killed Joseph Boever on September 12, 2020, in Hyde County.

That public briefing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 6, 2022 in Pierre. It starts at 12:00 p.m. MT/ 1:00 p.m. CT  in the Capitol Lake Visitors Center. Lawmakers may also attend via Zoom.

The House Select Committee on Investigation, chaired by House Speaker Spencer Gosch (R – District 23), has issued a majority report recommending against impeachment. The two Democrats on the committee issued a minority report recommending the opposite; that Ravnsborg be impeached.

In anticipation of that briefing, DPS has released additional information from its investigative report.
