S.D. Highway 71 repair work underway

HOT SPRINGS, S.D. — Asphalt, curb, and gutter repair work south of Hot Springs has begun on S.D. Highway 71.

The work will run for one mile on the highway, where traffic will be reduced to one lane with the use of flaggers and a pilot car.

Delays of up to five minutes can be expected while traveling through through the work zone during daytime hours. The project will only be worked on during weekdays.

Motorists are asked to travel 35 miles per hour, or the posted speed limit, if it is less.

The project is scheduled for completion Friday, Oct. 29.
