Rushmore Thunder roll past Aberdeen in boys hockey

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rushmore Thunder boys hockey team opened a two-game series against the Aberdeen Cougars on Saturday night.

Duncan Chisolm scored two goals as the Thunder dominated the Cougars, 7-3.

Aberdeen scored just 35 seconds into the first period thanks to a goal by Braydon Jones. But the Thunder responded with three unanswered goals in the first period.

Overall, six different players scored goals for the Thunder.

Rushmore received goals from Duncan Chisolm (2), Seth Stock, Alec Humke, Kael Delzer, Zeke Farlee and Derrick Brown Jr.

Rushmore improves to 4-1-0-1 on the season.

The Thunder will play Aberdeen on Sunday at 2 p.m.
