Rushmore Mall has a successful holiday season

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rushmore Mall was a hot spot this year for Christmas shopping. According to several store managers around the mall, Christmas sales went up this year. 

At Home, one of the largest stores at the mall sells home decor. For the holidays they had tons of displays and aisle filled with Christmas decorations.

The inventory manager mentioned that their big sellers are Christmas trees. He had a customer come in and buy three different Christmas trees in one day.

From colorful lights to shatterproof ornaments they have it all.

“We have a lot of people come in here and do last minute shopping. We’ll probably have quite a bit of rush right after the holidays too,” said manager Eric Beebe.

As of right now, they have 50 percent off of everything in the store.

JC Penny was another Christmas hit. They have everything from clothing, kids toys, and fine jewelry. It is a place where people tend to find something for everyone.

General manager Patrick Toledano, was satisfied with the outcome this year.

“This year it has been fine jewelry. Its been one of our highlights the whole season,” said Toledano.

The mega-chain started major sales on Black Friday and is expected to continue up until the new year.
