Rushmore boys varsity hockey team wraps up successful weekend

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rushmore Thunder boys hockey team suffered their first loss of the season back on January 2.

In fact, the Sioux Falls Flyers swept the Thunder in a pair of games in Sioux Falls.

But the Thunder bounced back against Sioux Center this past weekend by beating the Storm 3-2 on Saturday and 4-1 on Sunday.

Dawson Wirth, Brayden Fine, Duncan Chisolm and Alec Humke each scored a goal on Sunday for the Thunder.

The Thunder improve to 9-2 on the season.

Rushmore will host Watertown on Feb. 6-7.
