Rushmore Bowl: SF Jefferson rolls over Central, Stevens defeats Sturgis
RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rushmore Bowl started back in 1993 as a way to support more than 120 activities and organizations at both Rapid City Central and Stevens.
Now 29 years later, the event has raised more than 1.3 million dollars and has provided fans with some exciting football games.
The Rushmore Bowl was held on Friday night with another football doubleheader.
Sioux Falls Jefferson knocked off Rapid City Central in the first game, 35-6.
The Cobblers are now 1-4 on the year.
Meanwhile, Rapid City Stevens outlasted Sturgis, 38-21.
The Raiders improve to 2-3 on the season, while the Scoopers fall to 0-5.
