Rush to Celebrate Military Appreciation Night

The Rapid City Rush represent more than just hockey.
In fact, the team has always been involved in the community.
The Rush will celebrate the team’s annual "Military Appreciation Night" Saturday against their rivals the Colorado Eagles.
The Rush are putting together a series of events that will serve as a tribute to current and former members of the military.
Plus, all military members and veterans can purchase tickets for $15 a piece anywhere in the Rushmore Place Civic Center Ice Arena.

Director of Media Relations for the Rush, Mark Binetti says, "Then we’re going to have a representative from both Ellsworth and Camp Rapid drop the puck to signify the start of the game. We’re going to have a swearing in of 20 individuals into the U.S. armed forces. We’re going to have a recognition of veterans in attendance from World War II to the Persian Gulf. And we’re going to have a sled hockey exhibition with veterans, as well. So it’s going to be quite an extensive night but a great one none the less."

ECHL Scoreboard from Friday, November 11.
