Rush snap 6-game losing streak with win over Wichita

RAPID CITY, S.D. –  The Rapid City Rush started the season by winning 15 out of 23 games.

However, the Rush have been struggling as of late, losing six in a row.

But the Rush finally won for the first time since December 5, beating the Wichita Thunder on Friday night, 4-3.

Rapid City was led by Tyler Coulter who scored two goals. Tyler Poulsen and Peter Quenneville also scored for the Rush.

Tyler Parks, who was making his first start since his first career AHL call-up, stopped 31 of 34 shots for the Rush.

The Rush conclude their two-game set on Saturday night against the Wichita Thunder.

The puck drop is slated for 7:05 p.m. at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
