Rush bring back defenseman Myles McGurty
RAPID CITY, S.D. — It’s been a busy week for the Rapid City Rush.
The team signed three more players including Alec Baer, Alex Rauter and Myles McGurty.
McGurty came to the Rush last March as a part of a trade with the Orlando Solar Bears.
The defenseman played in the final 11 games for the Rush and provided one assist.
Rush head coach Daniel Tetrault is excited about all three players rejoining the team.
“They were all rookies last season,” Rapid City Rush head coach Daniel Tetrault said. “First taste of professional hockey coming out of college or junior and they know what to expect now. They know its a great league. It’s a tough league and consistency is the key for these players. Coming into training camp, they have to be ready. They know what to expect. They know they have to work hard. I tell all these kids, especially rookies, this is not an easy league.”
Season tickets for all 36 home games are now on sale. The Rush home opener is Friday, Oct. 25 against the Utah Grizzlies.
