Rosebud man sentenced for meth trafficking, witness tampering

RAPID CITY, S.D. — A Rosebud man has been sentenced to 11-and-a-half years in federal prison for meth trafficking and witness tampering.

40-year-old Clinton Haukass, who also goes by “Fuddy”, was indicted in 2018 and pleaded guilty this past February.

He sold at least 500 grams of meth on the Rosebud Reservation from 2014 to 2018.

While in custody awaiting trial, Haukass was found with a list of 28 potential witnesses against him. He coordinated the publication of the list on social media in an attempt to intimidate the witnesses so they wouldn’t testify at his trial.

The trial never happened because he pleaded guilty.
