Rodeo Rapid City: Shane O’Connell moves into the top-three in the bareback Riding

Tanner Bothwell from Rapid City takes the lead in the bull riding

RAPID CITY, S.D.  –  It was a good night for South Dakota cowboys during the third PRCA performance at Rodeo Rapid City on Thursday.

Shane O’Connell from Rapid City, who finished 10th in the world last year, scored 86 points on the horse “Great Nation” to move into third place in the bareback riding.

Wyatt Denny from Minden, Nevada currently leads the bareback riding with 90.5 points.

Meanwhile, Tanner Bothwell from Rapid City is the new leader in the bull riding. He scored 84.5 points on the bull “UR Next.”
