BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. — Chip and fog seal projects are set to begin this week on Highway 75, Highway 85, and Highway 20.

The Highway 75 project will begin north of Hwy. 20 to the North Dakota state line on Wednesday, July 21. Then beginning Saturday, the Hwy. 85 project will start north of Buffalo and extend north for around six miles. The Hwy. 20 project will begin at Camp Crook Monday and extend east to Hwy. 85 in Buffalo.

Traffic in the work zone will be reduced to one lane with flaggers and a pilot car. Delays up to 15 minutes should be anticipated during daytime hours.

Loose gravel will also be present for several days following the completion of each project. Drivers should travel the posted speed limit (if less than 45 mph) and not more than 45 mph while loose gravel is present.

Completion of these projects is set for Thursday, July 29. The permanent striping is scheduled to be done a week after each project is completed.
