Residential structure fire in Rapid Valley quickly extinguished
The Rapid Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire on Avenue "A" in Rapid Valley.
RAPID VALLEY, S.D. – The Rapid Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to report of smoke in a residential structure at 4316 Avenue “A”, Rapid Valley Monday night.
Firefighters found the structure with light to moderate smoke and were able to confine the fire to the room of origin, stopping the spread of the flames to the rest of the structure. The house sustained light fire damage. No injuries were reported to firefighters, civilians or domestic animals.
The structure was unoccupied.
