No evidence of shots fired on BHSU Spearfish campus

UPDATE 2:59 p.m. — According to the BHSU Media Facebook page, the shelter-in-place alert has been lifted. The BHSU campus alert system now says there were no signs of gunshots.

SPEARFISH, S.D. — There are reports of shots fired on the Spearfish campus of Black Hills State University.

According to BHSU Media’s Facebook page, the incident occurred at Apartment H. The Facebook post and a text alert sent to students advises them to shelter in place.
