Rep. Noem advocates for improved freight rail infrastructure

U.S. Rep. Kristi Noem stopped in Rapid City on Tuesday to speak about the importance of improving South Dakota’s freight rail infrastructure.

Much of the state's revenue comes from the agriculture industry, and for some time, producers have called for changes and improvements to South Dakota’s rail system in order to keep their goods flowing into the marketplace.

Noem has been an outspoken advocate for the agriculture industry, owing to the fact that she herself is from a farming background.
