Rep. Dusty Johnson visits Western Dakota Tech

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Representative Dusty Johnson extended his stay in Rapid City on Thursday. This time he toured Western Dakota Tech. He had the chance to speak with staff and students along the way.

Dusty got a look behind the scenes of some ongoing projects at WDT and learned about the scholarship and future job opportunities available for students. He learned more about the welding, medical, and aquaponics programs.

“Well clearly we know that these careers power an economy and they give people the opportunity to earn great wages that you can really raise a family on,” said Johnson.

With the congressional session in full swing, opportunities like this allow lawmakers to see how specific bills may benefit students and economic growth.
