Regional Health Rapid City announces closures ahead of winter storm
Declares 'condition snow'
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Due to the impending snow storm, Regional Health Rapid City Hospital is closing several campuses and making changes to staffing by declaring a ‘condition snow’.
At 1 p.m. Friday, all Rapid City clinics will close and remain closed through Saturday, Nov. 30. Rapid City Urgent Cares and Sturgis Regional Health primary and urgent care clinics will close at 3 p.m.
The hospital’s staffing during a ‘Condition Snow’ aims to “ensure there are enough caregivers on duty to take care of patients during the storm”, officials say in a press release.
Inpatient and emergency departments continue to function during severe weather events.
