Recent reports of fireworks discharge prompt local officials to issue reminder
RAPID CITY, S.D. — The City of Rapid City, along with Rapid City Police and Fire Department, are reminding the public that it is against the law to discharge fireworks within city limits.
The City says they have received reports recently that fireworks are being set off in town, and encourage anyone who sees or hears them to contact the Rapid City Police Department at (605) 394-4131.
As we witnessed with the Schroeder Fire, it doesn’t take much for a fire to start & to spread quickly. Fireworks are prohibited. If you see anyone lighting fireworks or hear of fireworks in an area, contact the Rapid City Police Department. pic.twitter.com/YIRqxSSyxV
