RCPD takes part in Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign
The Rapid City Police Department is once again taking part in the national safety campaign, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.
From August 21 until September 7, additional patrols are specifically on the lookout for impaired drivers, along with renewed focus on speed and seatbelt violations. Law enforcement partners nationwide will show zero tolerance as they aim to drastically reduce the toll of drunk driving.
In 2014, the Rapid City Police Department made 965 arrests for Driving Under the Influence.
