RCPD seeks public’s help identifying armed robbery suspect

RAPID CITY, S.D. – In an effort to help identify the suspect in a July 22 armed robbery, the Rapid City Police Department has released surveillance footage from the incident and is asking for assistance from the public.


From the RCPD:

"On July 22nd around 12:50 a.m., police responded to 310 E. Fairmont Boulevard for a report of a panic alarm. On arrival, police were advised by employees of the business that they had just been robbed at gunpoint by a single suspect. The suspect brandished a black handgun before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a skinny 25-30 year old white male, standing around 5’10” tall, and wearing black pants, a dark-colored t-shirt over a light-colored long-sleeve shirt, a grey beanie, a black bandanna over his face, and green gloves."

Authorities are asking anyone with any information to contact Det. Rick Arlaud at 605-394-4134. They can also send an anonymous tip by texting ‘RCPD’ and the information to 847411.
