Suspect captured in N. Maple Ave. shooting

UPDATE (11:55 a.m.): Shooting Suspect Nathaniel Gray Eagle has been located and taken into custody without further incident.

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Police Department has identified a suspect in the Friday morning shooting that sent a young girl to the hospital with serious injuries.

The suspect, 19-year-old Nathaniel Grey Eagle of Rapid City, should be considered armed & dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact police immediately at 605-394-4131.

Around 9:30 a.m. Friday Morning, police were called to a residence near the intersection of North Maple Avenue and Surfwood Drive in response to a report that a juvenile female had been shot.

The victim was transported to Monument Hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
