RCPD chase ends with foot pursuit, one in custody

RAPID CITY S.D. – A police chase through North Rapid City ends with one man in custody.

According to Sgt. Davis with the Rapid City Police Department, it all started during a traffic stop on North Lacrosse Street near the Interstate. But then, 36-year-old Paul Iron Cloud sped off in an SUV. He then headed to the Lakota Community Homes off of Haines Ave.

Police were able to catch up to Iron Cloud, but then he bailed out of the car and took off on foot. Police caught up with him on Pahasapa Road, near a dumpster.

Iron Cloud is in the Pennington County Jail, charged with aggravated eluding.
