RCPD arrest driver of Monday accident

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Officers of the Rapid City Police Department were dispatched to the 500 block of Saint Andrew Street on Monday, Aug. 9 to respond to an unknown injury accident.

The accident was reported to be a vehicle that caused an accident with a motorcycle prior to striking a home in the area. Witnesses reported seeing several occupants abandoning the vehicle.

After collecting witness statements, RCPD officers were able to identify the driver of the vehicle as 20-year-old Jade Fenhaus of Rapid City, and it is determined that the vehicle he was driving was stolen.

Fenhaus was placed under arrest for leaving the scene of an injury accident, failure to yield, theft of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, and three warrants.
