RCAS uses new dashboard to inform public about COVID-19

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Area Schools are keeping the community informed about COVID-19 by way of a new dashboard interface on its website.

As we reported earlier this month, the district is making COVID-19 cases public through the new dashboard while keeping specifics available only to people who may have been exposed to someone who tested positive.

The dashboard lists the current number of active COVID cases split between staff and students, as well as the number of those in quarantine.

Parents can also find the status of any school and a daily checklist to screen their child before they head off to school.

At last check, the district had 12 students and four staff members with active cases, and 169 students and 29 staffers in quarantine.

You can view the dashboard here.
