RCAS School Board looking to fill Area 3 seat

RAPID CITY, S.D. — A seat needs to be filled on the Rapid City Area Schools Board of Education.

The board is now accepting applications to fill a vacancy due to the early resignation of Area 3 Board Member Brian Johnson. Johnson announced his resignation at Monday night’s meeting, saying he and his family have moved out of the district he currently represents.

Applications will be accepted through October 30 and interviews will occur in early November. The new member will be selected by the board and will complete the remainder of Johnson’s term, which is up in July of 2022.
