RC Rush upset the Florida Everblades

Justin Faryna scores the game winner with 18 seconds remaining

RAPID CITY, S.D.  –  The Rapid City Rush continued their three-game series on Friday night against the Florida Everblades.

After Florida won the first game earlier this week, the Rush bounced back to even the series with a 3-2 win over the No. 1 team in the ECHL.

Chris Leibinger scored a power play goal to give the Rush the lead in the first period. But Florida battled back to go up 2-1 in the third.

With 11:51 left in the game, Garrett Klotz slammed a shot from the slot area behind Florida goalie Jamie Phillips, squaring the game at 2-2.

Then with 18 seconds remaining in the game, Justin Faryna scored his first goal since returning to the Rush from Europe to give the Rush the win. Adam Carlson picked up his first win since December 14th, stopping 30 of 32 shots.

The Rush will wrap up their series with Florida on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
