RC Marshals snap 6-game losing streak with OT victory over Wyoming
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Jake Johnson connected with Zeccheus Roberson for a 22-yard touchdown in overtime and the Rapid City Marshals defeated the Wyoming Mustangs on Saturday, 56-55.
The Mustangs scored a touchdown in overtime and had a chance to win with a two-point conversion.
But Tabyus Taylor was stopped short of the goal line by Rapid City’s Larry Fontilisse.
The Marshals snapped a six-game losing streak.
Rapid City is currently battling Wyoming for the sixth and final playoff spot.
With two games remaining in the regular season, the Marshals and Mustangs are tied for sixth place in the league with identical 2-6 records.
Rapid City will host the Omaha Beef on Monday, May 30 before closing out the regular season on Saturday, June 4 at Sioux City.
