RC Central student-athlete makes it official on National Signing Day

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The long wait is finally over for Isabelle Hardmeyer.

The Rapid City Central senior signed her national letter of intent on Wednesday to run track at the next level.

Hardmeyer will be joining the track team at Mount Marty University in Yankton.

The two-year letter winner qualified for the state track meet last season in four different events.

She ended up placing seventh at the state track meet in the 200 meter dash and finished ninth in the 100 meter dash.

Hardmeyer plans to study exercise science.

“I decided to go with Mount Marty because it’s a small town and I kind of like the small college vibes,” said Isabelle Hardmeyer. “It kind of makes me feel more at home. The track coach really made me feel wanted there. I felt like the school will actually impact my life and make sure I have an amazing future to come up.”
