RC Central soccer player Garrett Cole signs letter of intent
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Garrett Cole wrapped up a very successful soccer career last fall at Rapid City Central. Now the senior hopes to find that same kind of success at the next level.
Cole signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday to play soccer next year at Sheridan College in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Cole is a 3-year letter winner and was named second team all-state last season. Plus, he finished his high school career with 20 goals and he’s tied for most career assists at Central with 13.
Cole, who plans to study civil engineering, hopes that Sheridan College will open up more opportunities for him to play soccer.
“I want to have team success over individual success, of course,” Rapid City Central senior Garrett Cole said. “But I just want to grow as a player and be really influential to the team while I’m there.”
“That’s why I made him a team captain because he’s not afraid to voice his opinion and contribute,” Central boys soccer coach Joe Sabrowski said. “Most of his contributions were beneficial to the team. So working with him was really good. We had a great rapport.”
