RC Central holds on to beat Stevens in girls basketball; Check out 15 photos and highlights
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Back in December, Rapid City Stevens rolled over Central in girls basketball.
The two teams squared off again on Thursday night and it was a completely different story.
The Cobblers jumped out to a big lead and then fended off a late rally by the Raiders to win, 56-50.
Teila Jiron led Central with 17 points.
Leah Landry, an eighth grader, added 14 points for the Cobblers.
Meanwhile, Taaliyah Porter from Stevens led all scorers with 33 points.
Hailey Oswald and Macey Wathen each finished with five points.
Rapid City Central is now 6-12 on the season and Stevens is 12-6.
Both the Cobblers and the Raiders will wrap up the regular season on Feb. 24-25 at Sioux Falls Washington and Lincoln.
