RC Central holds on to beat St. Thomas More in boys soccer

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Central boys soccer team started the season by winning four out of its first five matches.

But then after that, the Cobblers lost to both Aberdeen Central and Rapid City Stevens and played to a scoreless draw against Pierre.

However, Central picked up second straight victory on Thursday night by beating St. Thomas More, 3-2.

Jaden Stephens, Tyler Roe and Riley Roe each scored for the Cobblers.

Meanwhile, Aaron Nelson scored both goals for St. Thomas More.

Central improves to 6-3-1, while STM falls to 4-6-1.

The Cobblers will host the Stevens Raiders on Sept. 22.

The Cavaliers return to action on Sept. 22 as well, against Sturgis.
