RC Central hires new football and volleyball coaches
RAPID CITY, S.D. – After weeks of searching, Rapid City Central has found a new head football coach.
Central activities director Jordan Bauer announced on Monday that Neal Cruce will be the Cobblers next football coach pending school board approval.
Cruce has 14 years of football coaching experience in both Tennessee and Missouri.
He spent the last three years in Loretto, Tennessee as the head football coach where he was rebuilding a team that had lost 19 games in a row.
Cruce is also a three-time coach of the year recipient.
He replaces Erik Iverson who was the head coach of the Cobblers for three years.

Meanwhile, Rapid City Central also hired Jayna Morrill as the next head volleyball coach.
Morrill has been coaching volleyball for 12 seasons at the Class ‘AA’, ‘A’ and ‘B’ levels.
She was an assistant coach at Canistota and St. Thomas More in 2010 and 2011.
Morrill was also the head volleyball coach in Spearfish where she finished with a record of 124-77.
Plus, she led the Spartans to a third place finish at the State ‘A’ Volleyball Tournament in 2015.
