Rapid Ride services to shut down for two weeks

RAPID CITY, S.D. — A reminder for Rapid Transit riders that operations will cease Saturday for two weeks.

Mayor Steve Allender announced this week that after three drivers tested positive for COVID-19, all transit services would shut down Saturday to allow for deep cleaning of buses and facilities. The services include Rapid Ride and Dial-A-Ride.

The first driver to test positive did so may 16. Last week, the other two drivers tested positive for the virus.

Transit services are scheduled to resume on Monday, June 15.
