Rapid City Young Professionals get together to make toys for animals at Humane Society

Rapid City, SD — Rapid City Elevate Young Professional Group gathered at the Black Hills Corporation headquarters for a little bit of community service and a lot of four-legged fun.

The group gathers monthly for a service project. This month, with the help of one very energetic puppy, they made toys for the animals at the Humane Society of the Black Hills.

“Once a month we look to engage our group in the community, and it serves two purposes. One is to create awareness and provide a need that the organization has, a lot of times it’s through volunteering.” said Adam Prudich, Community Involvement Co-Chair of the Rapid City Young Professional Group, “And the second part of that is to create a networking opportunity for our members within the YPG group where they can get together and put some hands on things, engage in conversation, meet new people, and really just grow internally from there.”

The group will deliver the toys to the Humane Society on Wednesday.

YPG is part of the Rapid City Chamber of Commerce and Elevate Rapid City.
