Rapid City seeks nominations for Veteran of the Month

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Mayor’s Office of Rapid City has announced that the city is seeking nominations for its Veterans of the Month recognition program.

Any person or organizations may make nominations, and nominations from all segments of the Black Hills community are encouraged to submit a nomination.

Nomination forms will be returned to the local Veteran’s Commission for selection. The City Council representatives from the recipient’s ward will assist the mayor in presenting this award at the second City Council meeting of each month. The Veteran of the Month honoree will be recognized and presented with a Certificate of Appreciation at the second regular City Council meeting during the month the recipient is chosen to be honored. A photo and biography of the recipient will be posted on the Veteran of the Month web page on the City of Rapid City’s website: rcgov.org.
