Rapid City Rush’s Giovanni Fiore wins ECHL Player of the Week

RAPID CITY, S.D. — One of the players for the Rapid City Rush was recently named the ECHL Player of the Week.

Rush Forward Giovanni Fiore won the award for his strong performance a couple of weeks ago.

As part of the award, the hockey puck company Inglasco donated 100 pucks to the Rushmore Thunder Hockey League in Rapid City.

Fiore and a couple of Rush Players delivered the pucks this evening and skated with the kids.

Giovanni said “I have always enjoyed doing stuff like this especially with the kids on the ice, its fun to give back to the sport and watch these kids develop and grow. I’m just trying to produce for my team and hopefully the team wins and if the rewards come along than might as well, but if not I’m just trying to win some games.”
