Rapid City Rush wrap up regular season with win over Tulsa

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush wrapped up the regular season on Saturday against the Tulsa Oilers.

Thanks to two goals each from Calder Brooks and Brett Gravelle, the Rush defeated the Oilers, 5-2.

Although Rapid City had already locked up the second seed in the Mountain Division, the Rush were hoping to enter the postseason on a winning note.

The Rush will have home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Rapid City finished the regular season with a record of 36-25-6-5 and 83 points, the most it has recorded in the ECHL era of the franchise’s history.

The Rush will face the Allen Americans in the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs, beginning with game one on Friday, April 22 at The Monument Ice Arena.
