Rapid City Rush win ECHL Best Ice Award

RushicePRINCETON, N.J. — On Friday, the ECHL announced the Rapid City Rush as the 2020-21 recipient of the Best Ice Award.

“I want to not just congratulate, but most importantly thank Nate Kleinschmit and his crew at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Ice Arena for their diligence and outstanding work that came with receiving this recognition,” said Spire Hockey President Todd Mackin.

The winner is determined by a vote of ECHL coaches, and focuses on those arenas and staffs that provide the best playing surfaces in the League, including the quality of the ice, temperature of the building, and surrounding dasher board system.

The Rush will conclude their season with a pair of games against the Allen Americans this weekend. Puck drop for Friday, June 4th and Saturday, June 5th is slated for 6:05 p.m MDT at the Allen Event Center.
