Rapid City Rush goalie Gordon Defiel taken to hospital during Saturday game against Utah
RAPID CITY, S.D. — Rapid City Rush backup goalie Gordon Defiel was removed on a stretcher by EMTs during the first period of Saturday’s game against the Utah Grizzlies.
Rush Senior Communications Director Mark Binetti confirmed that Defiel is okay and stable.
From the medical event on the bench, the player is alert and stable and is receiving care at a local hospital.

The game was delayed for 25 minutes while Defiel was being treated.
